IIT JEE Chemistry Paper Preparation Tips

Like all other national level entrance exams, IIT JEE also needs lots of preparations. Since majority of the topics in IIT JEE papers are from class XI and class XII, it will be easier for you to recollect things. JEE chemistry exam will be tough for those students, who are not familiar with the basics and fundamentals of chemistry. But there are students who make many mistakes even after knowing all the concepts well. These are some tips that will help you to score good marks in JEE chemistry section:

  • Practice more questions:

Sometimes, learning fundamentals and concepts won’t help you to score good marks. For that, you need to practice more questions and take enough sample tests in order make yourself familiar with all types of questions. If you are a student who takes lots of tests in JEE chemistry section by following the actual exam rules, you will be able to perform well in IIT JEE chemistry paper.

  • Don’t believe in false claims:

At the time of exam you can see many advertisements, which claims success through last minute studies with the help of several websites and books. But, all these are false claims. Remember that only regular revisions and continuous practice can only provide you good scores. Last minute study will make you more confused and it may lead to the misinterpretation of concepts.

  • Don’t skip questions:

Don’t feel frustrated by seeing long questions. Those questions may be easy ones and might take less than 50 seconds to solve it. Remember that skipping a long IIT JEE chemistry question or chemistry problem may result in very low score and that will take your JEE score backwards.

  • Keep an eye on tough questions: 

It is important that you should practice tough chemistry questions well before the final exam. Don’t expect that IIT JEE chemistry question paper will only provide you simple questions and you can score good marks easily. You should prepare yourself to face all kinds of tough questions and problems. Also, try not to skip any of the tough questions because it may lower your JEE score.

  • Both XI and XII chemistry are important:

Give equal importance to class XI and XII chemistry topics because JEE chemistry section will be based on questions from these two classes. Please understand that your XI and XII standard Chemistry topics have equal importance in IIT JEE and skipping class XI chemistry lessons will not help you to achieve your goal.
